Australia must turn its eye to Africa

While Australians focus on investing in Asia, China is taking a significant shift towards Africa. They see Africa first as a current source of low cost labour to enable them to remain globally competitive in the face of higher domestic costs, but longer term they also see Africa as a major market.

 

Given that China is our major trading partner this shift in emphasis is an event Australian companies should take into strategic consideration: if China opens up Africa we may benefit.
